Los Angeles .NET Developer's Group
Hi,
Last night - August 2, 2010 - I went to visit the Los Angeles .NET Developers Group. This group is run by Scott Robertson and Mike McTaggert, two guys I've known for about 5 years. We rarely get together, so it was nice to see them again. Of course it may have been the swag I brought, but you never know.
Meeting at UCLA Medical School, deep in some laboratory it seems, they had a great turnout of about 60 folks. Scott invited me to come up and introduce myself and I talked a bit about C1, and the Evangelism and User Group Support initiatives. Both were well received and I actually got some applause. Again, it may have been the swag. :)
Reza Madani from Harbor Objects was the featured speaker who talked on Animation Techniques with Silverlight 4. His presentation was great with lots of demos and code samples and it got me to thinking about what I can do.
The meeting ended at 9:30 with the typical raffle, and then it was back on the road to head home.
