Hi, it's me
Hi,
My name is James Johnson and for those of you live on the West side of the Rockies – including Denver and surrounding areas – I am your ComponentOne Technical Evangelist. Ok, so you’re probably saying, um, “what’s a Technical Evangelist?” Well, let me tell you.
I am the liaison between you and the development and tech support teams here at C1. If you’re having a problem with one of our products, let me know, and I will do what I can to help you. I will also be producing training videos on the products and hosting webcasts. In addition to all of this, I will be working on building C1’s new User Group Support System, where we will go into the field to get to know our customer’s by supporting your local User Group.
Just so you know I mean what I say, here’s a bit of my background.
I’m a two-time and current Microsoft MVP in Client App Development, and have been developing software since the early days of Laser Discs, HyperCard stacks and sending backup tapes off to some magical place to get one-off CD-ROMs made. As the Founder and President of the Inland Empire .NET User's Group, I have fondly watched it grow from a twice-a-month, early Saturday morning group of five in 2003, to a robust and rambunctious gather of all types and sizes of .NET developers. I love to dig deep into the latest cutting edge technologies - sometimes with spectacular disasters - and spread the word about the latest and greatest bits, getting people excited about developing web sites and applications on the .NET platform, and using the best tools for the job.
So, that’s about me. Tell me about you and what I can do to help you.
James
