Release Notes for Version 15.1.20221.0

This set of release notes includes enhancements from the previous release, resolved issues and version details.

Enhancements from the Previous Release

This version of the product has the following enhancements from the previous release:

• Cell styles gallery has been introduced in the Spread Designer to quickly apply styles in cells.

• Spread for Winforms now automatically rounds the numbers with decimals in a general cell format if the cell value meets certain conditions.

• Insert an image in a cell as a value without converting the cell itself into an image cell type.

• Users can now crop an image in the Spread worksheet, through code, or through the runtime UI handles.

• Images can now be formatted using different properties such as brightness, saturation, and black and white threshold.

• Create and save an image file consisting of specified data from the Spread worksheets.

• Apply formatting to a cell value itself to retain the format string of the value throughout the calculation.

• Start a formula by a plus sign (+) or a minus sign (-) like in Excel.

• Multiple header cells can be selected to configure in the Spread Designer Header Editor.

• Users can now use Excel-compatible shortcut keys for navigating to the previous or next sheets.

• New NuGet package introduced for GrapeCity.Spread.WinForms.Design containing design-time support UI and the Spread Designer component for showing the designer in run-time.

• The minimum target framework version has been changed from .NET 4.5.2 to .NET 4.6.2 because Microsoft has dropped support for older framework versions. You can check out the product requirements, requirements for handling redistribution, and how to enable DPI support.

• Support for the .NET 5 platform target has been discontinued. The platform target is not included for LTS by Microsoft and will be no longer supported as of May 8, 2022.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved since the last release.

• The data model is retained when grouping and ungrouping are applied in Spread.

• Richtext is applied correctly when editing a text cell.

• The cell formula retains the correct values.

• The FpSpread control is displayed correctly after editing the Spread skin using the Spread Designer.

• Improved Excel file load time performance in Spread.

• The FpSpread control is displayed correctly after upgrading the Spread version in the project.

• Spread toolbox items are displayed correctly in Visual Studio 2022.

• The Chart Designer option shows up correctly in the chart context menu.

• The cell value is displayed correctly when working with the AutoCalculation property.

• The drag fill context menu is scaled correctly with a high DPI setting.

• Improved performance when creating Spread files based on Excel sheets.

• Images are now exported to Excel with the correct file names.

• Calculation speed has been improved when changing values in dependent cells.

• The column header's row count is retained when adding a sheet view to the Spread.

• The "@" sign is added correctly when working with dynamic arrays.

• PageBreak settings now work correctly when using SmartPrint.
