Enhancements from the Previous Release

The following features and enhancements have been incorporated into this version of the product.

• The new optional DataChart add-on allows developers to create charts bound directly to the SpreadJS Data Manager, eliminating the need to store the data within the SpreadJS workbook and offers more powerful and flexible style settings compared to traditional charts. The DataChart can also be used with the ReportSheet add-on to create charts within ReportSheet.

• ReportSheet enhancements:

  • Added container support to create structured templates for data display and analysis.

  • Added dropdown selection support in the Field Value Editor dialog to choose parameter values for columns.

  • Support added for diagonal celltype that enables inserting diagonal lines within a cell.

  • Support added to manage the expand and collapse state of all cells.

  • Option added to manage the initial expansion state of the cell in the report.

  • Ability to search for specific column data by entering the column field in the Search box.

  • New option to add aggregate functions in the ReportSheet Designer Wizard.

• Added the ability to manage whether subtotal data is displayed for individual fields.

• Users can now control whether editing is enabled or disabled in cells using the allowEditInCell API.

• Enhanced support for dynamically binding the ComboBox cell type to a data source, such as a data table’s name or formula query.

• Improved search capabilities for cell text, cell tags, comments, values, or formulas.

• Support for Function Reference (eta-reduced lambda) to simplify functions by removing unnecessary abstractions.

• Angular 18 is now supported.

• Added new commands, startEdit and changeEditorStatus, to switch a cell's editor status to Edit mode programmatically.

• Enhanced support to limit the number of rows or columns in a table using the TableResizing event.

• Improved existing getUsedRange API to retrieve the cell ranges with cell tags.

• Users can now change the cell-text direction to right-to-left using the style's textDirection property.

• Enhanced support to change the data source and synchronize the existing layout information in pivot tables.

• SpreadJS supports data range container support to inject data view into worksheets.

• SpreadJS now supports binding a worksheet table to the data manager table as a datasource to enable dynamic data interaction.

• Added support for new aggregation functions GROUPBY, PIVOTBY, and PERCENTOF.

• SpreadJS and SpreadJS Designer Component now support Vue wrapper with TypeScript.

• Added support to use the mouse wheel and the Shift key to scroll the worksheet horizontally.

• Added support to search within invisible ranges in SpreadJS Designer.

• Keyboard navigation is now supported in the PivotTable Filter dialog and Filter Rows/Columns dialog.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved since the last release:

• Resolved performance issues while searching a large number of rows and columns.

• Resolved the inconsistent calculation results of the array formulas.

• Resolved the issues with importing Excel files into SpreadJS.

• HYPERLINK function now works properly with the ReportSheet.

• IMPRODUCT function behavior is now consistent as expected.

• FLOOR function behavior is now aligned with expectations.

• Resolved the inconsistency issue between SpreadJS and Excel when using the SUBTOTAL function in Array Formulas (CSE).

• NOW function is now working correctly when exporting SpreadJS to PDF.

• Resolved performance issues related to async function execution in the IF function when the condition was false.
