NORMINV

This function returns the inverse of the normal cumulative distribution for the given mean and standard deviation.

Syntax

NORMINV(prob, mean, stdev)

Arguments

This function has these arguments:

Argument	Description
prob	[Required] Probability of the normal distribution
mean	[Required] Arithmetic mean of the distribution
stdestdev	[Required] Standard deviation of the distribution Must be greater than zero.

Examples

NORMINV(B3,C12,D14)

NORMINV(0.978,32,0.252) gives the result 32.50755088
