AREAS
This function returns the number of areas in the specified reference.
Syntax
AREAS(reference)
Arguments
[Required] Specify the cell reference for the argument.
Remarks
In this function, single argument can refer to multiple areas. To do so, extra set of parentheses is used.
Examples
AREAS(B7:D9) gives the result 1
AREAS((B2:D4,E5,F6:I9)) gives the result 3
