This set of release notes includes changes from the previous release, resolved issues and version details.

Enhancements from the Previous Release

This version of the product has the following enhancements from the previous release:

• With extensive support for Dynamic Array Formulas, users can implement effective data cache utilization while working with formulas in the spreadsheets. A dynamic array formula produces multiple results that spill to a cell range and fills the empty adjacent cells with the calculated values.
• In order to allow users to work with dynamic array formulas, some new functions - UNIQUE, SORT, SORTBY, SEQUENCE, SINGLE, FILTER and RANDARRAY have been added in the Formula Reference.
• Spread for WinForms now enables users to work with deselections. To deselect a selection, simply press and hold the ctrl or cmd key on the keyboard and use the left, top, right or down arrow keys to deselect the cells.
• Now, users can work with 1-based indexing in a workbook. This type of indexing facilitates effective conversion of SpreadCom or Excel VBA to new APIs. 

Changes from the Previous Release

This version of the product has the following changes.

• New Era Japanese Year and Formatting is now supported.
• Users can now configure a worksheet with alternating rows and columns by setting alternate styles for rows and columns while working in Flat style mode (available only in Spread WinForms 12 version).
• When the edit mode is enabled in a formula text box or in a cell containing formula and a cell reference or range is selected, pressing the F4 key will show up various combinations of absolute and relative references.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved since the last release.

• Now, users can load and save table filters in Spread WinForms without any issues. [264375]
• While working with spreadsheets, the formulas in the cells are now calculated correctly and produce accurate results when the values in the dependent cells are changed. [265701]
• No issues are encountered while upgrading from Spread WinForms 11 to Spread WinForms 12. [268319].
• When the column header settings are modified through the Designer and the changes are applied to Spread WinForms, no exceptions are thrown now. [268559]
• The Range Groups feature now works correctly when the custom data model is used in the spreadsheet. [268668]
• The Auto fit feature works as expected in Spread Winforms 12 when a DataTable is used as the DataSource of FpSpread. [268750]
• While working in the Spread WinForms Designer, now users can change the background color and text size without any issues. [270283]
• Now the deleted Spread objects are disposed off without any issues. [270285]
• When the ColumnFooterDataModel is used, everything works correctly and the NullReferenceException is not thrown [270303].
• The color of the bottom border of the selection header can now be updated without any issues. [270322]
• Now, the formulas in the spreadsheets load without any issues when the FormulaTextBox.WordWrap is set to True. [270480]
• The GetSpanCell method no longer returns null when the cells are successfully merged using the AddSpanCell method. [270556]
• Now, users can load XML files saved with Spread Winforms 10 to Spread WinForms 12 without any issues.[270695]
• After opening Excel files, the RemoveAt method no longer throws an exceptions and works correctly.[269470]
• While working in Spread WinForms Designer, no exceptions of Designer Loader are thrown for any changes done and saved in the spreadsheets. [269697]
• The filter feature works correctly when applied on the default row count because the RowCount property of the data model is not ignored now[269837].
• While opening Excel, the Scroll bar now works properly without any issues. [270003]
• The AutoGenerate columns property now works accurately in Spread WinForms 12. [271394]
• While upgrading from Spread WinForms 9 to Spread WinForms 12 version, there are no issues in exporting the XLSX files. [271404]
• The SetAggregationFormat method works correctly and applies the "aggFormat" argument to the column footer without any issues. [270155]
• When some settings like BackColor, CellType etc. are applied on a column using Spread Designer, the column settings can now be preserved and these settings do not disappear from Form's designer after the Visual Studio application is restarted. [272312]
• When a row containing spanned cells is removed from the spreadsheet, the appearance of the resulting cell is same as in Excel. [272410]
• Now, exporting the spreadsheet to Excel doesn't add any unidentified character at the end of each line in the multiline text cell and everything works as expected. [260850]
• While working with the spreadsheets, users can now clear cells that contain data only and without deleting the formulas by using the Clear method of the IRange interface. [270754]
• After opening an Excel file, the custom functions can now be recalculated without any issues. [269202]
• The SheetView can now be loaded correctly, no errors are encountered and no exceptions are thrown while executing operations in the VB project. [268328] and [268407]
