Effect tools are a set of tools or functions that enable you to apply effects to the images, such as Brightness, Contrast, Vibrance, Blur, and Pixelate. DsImageViewer provides PaintToolsPlugin that adds the Effects button () to the toolbar.
Effects button opens the secondary toolbar, which comprises the following options along with intensity sliders in the drop-down menus to adjust the intensity of the effect:
Icon | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Apply | The Apply button accepts all the changes and applies them to the image. | |
Cancel | The Cancel button discards all the changes and reverts the image to its original state. | |
Rectangular Marquee Tool | The Rectangular Marquee tool makes square and rectangular selections. You can also resize the selections after making them. | |
Lasso Tool | The Lasso tool allows you to draw freehand selections. | |
Elliptical Marquee Tool | The Elliptical Marquee tool makes round and elliptical selections. You can also resize the selections after making them. | |
Polygonal Lasso Tool | The Polygonal Lasso tool allows you to draw polygonal, jagged selections. | |
Brightness/Contrast | The Brightness/Contrast button applies brightness, contrast, or both effects to the whole image or selected region. Brightness modifies the overall lightness of an image by adjusting the intensity of each pixel's color channels, whereas contrast modifies the difference between light and dark areas in an image by adjusting pixel values' intensity, creating clearer separation between elements. | |
Vibrance | The Vibrance button applies vibrance effect to the whole image or selected region. Vibrance adjusts and enhances the intensity of all the colors in an image except the most saturated colors, and it also protects the skin tones of your image. | |
Blur | The Blur button applies blur effect to the whole image or selected region. Blur distorts the details of an image, making it less clear. | |
Pixelate | The Pixelate button applies pixelate effect to the whole image or selected region. Pixelate makes the pixels visible to the naked eye, rather than seamlessly blended. | |
Eraser | The Eraser tool removes the effect(s) applied to the selected region of an image. | |
Size | The Size drop-down allows you to choose the thickness, hardness, and opacity of the Eraser. | |
Use Original Image | The Use Original Image toggle button allows you to use the original image, combined with your recent edits, as a background source for new edits. It also allows you to erase both the new edits and the background when enabled and only the new edits when disabled. | |
Undo | The Undo button reverts the image to its state before the last change. | |
Redo | The Redo button changes the image to its state after the last change. |
