This function returns the current date and time.

This function does not accept arguments.

Remarks

This function is updated only when the spreadsheet or cell containing the function is recalculated. This is a volatile function.

Examples

If it is 05:10:00 P.M., November 11, 2004, then:

NOW() gives the result 11/11/2004, 17:10.
