DateEdit control, a flexible date picker, can be used to facilitate the users with the ease of selecting a specific date and time. The DateEdit control can be used in scenarios where you need to analyze data or run reports for a specific date window. DateEdit provides support for displaying dates and custom date formats. It also supports data validation of two types, pre-validation and post-validation. The DateEdit control helps to restrict the selection to a specified range of dates in the calendar. Further, it also enables the user to add Placeholder text in the control. DateEdit provides support for built-in localization support, so that the control can adapt based on culture-specific locales.

Note: For .NET applications, DateEdit control is available in the C1.Win.Calendar.5 assembly, but for .NET Framework applications, DateEdit control is available in both C1.Win.Calendar.4.5.2 and C1.Win.C1Input.4.5.2 assemblies.
