GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Chart.ISharpGraph

ISharpGraph Interface

Defines the model of a chart control: its visual building blocks (titles, series, areas, legends), global appearance and behavior settings, and the operations used to persist, refresh and repair the chart. Implement this interface to provide an alternative host for the charting engine, or consume it to drive a chart without depending on a concrete control type.

Namespace: GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Chart
Assembly: MESCIUS.ActiveReports.Chart.dll
Syntax
public interface ISharpGraph : ISupportInitialize, IDisposable

Properties

Name Description
AutoRefresh

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the chart automatically redraws when its data or properties change. Disable to batch many updates and refresh once for better performance.

Backdrop

Gets or sets the backdrop (background fill) drawn behind the entire chart.

Border

Gets or sets the border drawn around the outer edge of the chart.

ChartAreas

Gets the collection of chart areas (plot regions) the chart is divided into.

ColorPalette

Gets or sets the palette of colors automatically assigned to series and data points.

DataSource

Gets the object the chart is bound to for data (for example, a DataTable, list or array).

DeviceMode

Gets or sets the rendering device mode that determines how the chart is drawn (for example, GDI+ or another backend).

GridLayout

Gets or sets the layout that arranges multiple chart areas in a grid.

IsDesignMode

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the chart is hosted in a design-time environment. When true, the chart may render sample data and relax run-time validation.

Legends

Gets the collection of legends displayed on the chart.

RegisteredComponents

Gets the design-time components registered with the chart, keyed by component instance, with the registered name as the value. Used to resolve references during serialization.

Series

Gets the collection of data series plotted on the chart.

Titles

Gets the collection of titles displayed on the chart.

UIOptions

Gets or sets the options that control end-user interaction with the chart, such as zooming and selection.

Methods

Name Description
FixReferences()

Re-resolves internal references between chart elements (for example, series-to-axis links) after the chart has been loaded or restructured.

GetCultureInfo()

Returns the culture used to format and parse the chart's text, numbers and dates.

Invalidate()

Invalidates the chart so that it is repainted on the next render pass.

QuickLoad(BinaryReader)

Reads a chart previously written with QuickSave(BinaryWriter) from a binary stream.

QuickSave(BinaryWriter)

Writes the chart to a binary stream using the compact "quick" format, which is faster but less portable than the XML representation.

ReadXml(XmlElement)

Restores the chart definition from the specified XML element, replacing the current content.

SetDirty(bool)

Marks the chart as modified (dirty) or clean, controlling whether pending changes need to be saved.

SetTooltipText(string)

Sets the tooltip text shown for the chart as a whole.

TransferToCore(object)

Pushes the current chart definition into the underlying rendering engine.

WriteXml(XmlElement)

Serializes the complete chart definition into the specified XML element.
