C1ChartNavigator can be binded with different types of charts to navigate through data for a particular instance of time over longer periods. You can bind the ChartNavigator to the following chart types:

• C1LineChart: The ChartNavigator, combined with LineChart, is useful for visualizing data trends and performance over time, such as stock values or sales data. You can also change its Type to Area to show trends between associated attributes.
• C1BarChart: The ChartNavigator can be used in combination with BarChart when a user wants to visualize proportional relationships of data over a particular period of time; or data that is grouped into discrete categories, for example age groups, months, etc.
• C1CandlestickChart: The ChartNavigator can be used with CandleStickChart when a user wants to make a detailed analysis of data. Using its Open, Close, hIgh and Low values, a user can visualize and compare data more efficiently. The data used on Candlestick charts includes comparison of stock prices on regular basis.

  In a CandlestickChart, there are five values for each data point in the series.

  • x : Determines the date position along the x axis.
  • high: Determines the highest price for the day, and plots it as the top of the candle along the y axis.
  • low: Determines the lowest price for the day, and plots it as the bottom of the candle along the y axis.
  • open: Determines the opening price for the day.
  • close: Determines the closing price for the day.
