A resource is a keyword or a phrased that defines a source of support for a particular task. Resources, which are stored in the ResourceCollection class, are optional and an appointment can have one or more resources assigned to it.

For example, resources for a meeting could include a digital projector, dry erase board, whiteboard, laser pointer, overhead projector, chalkboard, easel board, television, vcr/dvd player, and video teleconference system.
