Gets or sets the type of encoding to use when generating the barcode.

Note that BarCodeType.None is not a valid value for this property.

Remarks

The selected encoding is applied to the value stored in the RenderBarCodeEx.Text property to generate the barcode image displayed in the object.

Example

The following sample shows how to use the BarCodeType property to encode the value "123456" as a Code39-encoded barcode:

rbc.BarCodeType = BarCodeType.Code39;
rbc.Text = "123456";
