# Pareto Charts

You can add a pareto chart to your spreadsheet using Spread for ASP.NET. Learn more in documentation.

## Content

A pareto chart contains both bars and a line graph. Individual values are represented in descending order by bars and the cumulative total is represented by the line. The pareto chart is used to highlight the most important items in a set of values.

## Using Code

1. Add data to the control.
2. Add a chart to the Spread control using the [ParetoSeries](/spreadnet/api/latest/online-asp/FarPoint.Web.Chart/FarPoint.Web.Chart.ParetoSeries.html) class.

## Example

The following example creates a pareto chart.

## Using the Chart Designer

1. Select the **PlotArea Collection** editor.
2. Set properties as needed.
3. Select **Apply** and **OK** to close the Chart Designer.
