This function returns the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient, a dimensionless index between -1.0 to 1.0 inclusive indicative of the linear relationship between two data sets.

## Syntax

`PEARSON(array_ind, array_dep)`

## Arguments

This function has these arguments:

| Argument | Description |
| -------- | ----------- |
| *array\_ind* | [Required] Array of independent values (x’s) |
| *array\_dep* | [Required] Array of dependent values (y’s) |

The arrays must be the same size.

## Examples

`PEARSON(B4:G7,B8:G11)`
`PEARSON(R4C2:R7C7,R8C2:R11C7)`
`PEARSON({2,8,4,16,10,12},{8,2,15,14,18,11})` gives the result 0.262017292
