# TAN

This function returns the tangent of the specified angle.

## Syntax

`TAN(angle)`

## Arguments

[Required] This function can take any real number as an argument. The *angle* argument is the angle in radians for which you want the tangent.

## Remarks

If the angle is in degrees, multiply it by PI/180 to convert it to radians.

## Examples

`TAN(B3)`
`TAN(R3C2)`
`TAN(45\*PI()/180)` gives the result 1
`TAN(RADIANS(20))`
