# STANDARDIZE

## Content

This function returns a normalized value from a distribution characterized by mean and standard deviation.

## Syntax

`STANDARDIZE(x, mean, stdev)`

## Arguments

This function has these arguments:

| Argument | Description |
| -------- | ----------- |
| *x* | [Required] Value to normalize |
| *mean* | [Required] Arithmetic mean of the distribution |
| *stdev* | [Required] Standard deviation of the distribution Must be greater than zero. |

## Examples

`STANDARDIZE(15.6,A4,B2)`
`STANDARDIZE(88,48,1.6)` gives the result 25
