# Chart and Diagram Rendering and Export

C1Chart and C1Diagram render chart and diagram content to document, raster, and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) output through the **IRendering** interface.
The **Render** extension method renders a chart or diagram into an **IRendering** target. The target determines the resulting output format.
The rendering workflow applies to FlexChart, FlexPie, FlexRadar, TreeMap, Sunburst, and FlexDiagram. The following image shows rendered output for a Sunburst chart and FlexDiagram:

> **Note:** These examples use the .NET Standard FlexChart from `C1.Chart`. Platform-specific FlexChart controls also implement `IChartBase`, allowing the same `Render` method to be used without switching to the .NET Standard control.
