# Design-Time Support

Use the readily available design-time support options, such as gauge gallery, smart tags, task menus, designers, and more. See more demos, documentation, and samples here.

## Content

**Gauges for WinForms** provides visual editing to make it easier to create a schedule application. The following sections describe how to use **Gauges for WinForms**' design-time environment to configure the **Gauges for WinForms** controls:

### New Gauge Gallery

When you first add a **C1Gauge** control to the form in Design view, the **New Gauge Gallery** dialog box will appear. For more information, see the [New Gauge Gallery](/componentone/docs/win/online-gauges/designtimesupport/newgaugegallery) topic.

### Smart Tags and Tasks Menus

You can invoke each control's tasks menu by clicking on the smart tag (![Smart tag](https://cdn.mescius.io/document-site-files/images/2003d53a-81bd-40aa-82c0-56cd09293e5d/imagesext/image13_0.png)) in the upper-right corner of the control. A smart tag represents a short-cut tasks menu that provides the most commonly used properties in each control. For more information on how to use the tasks menu in **Gauges for WinForms**, see [C1Gauge Tasks Menu](/componentone/docs/win/online-gauges/designtimesupport/c1gaugetasksmenu).

### Context Menus

You can invoke each control's context menu by right-clicking the component or control in Design view. The context menu includes common actions when using the control. For more information on how to use the context menu in **Gauges for WinForms**, see [C1Gauge Context Menu](/componentone/docs/win/online-gauges/designtimesupport/c1gaugecontextmenu) or [C1LinearGauge and C1RadialGauge Context Menus](/componentone/docs/win/online-gauges/designtimesupport/c1lineargaugeandc1ra).

### Designers

You can easily configure the **Gauges for WinForms** components at design time by using the associated collection editors. For more information on the **Gauges for WinForms** designers, see the [Gauges for WinForms Collection Editors](/componentone/docs/win/online-gauges/designtimesupport/gaugesforwinformscol) topic.

### Properties Window

You can also easily configure **Gauges for WinForms** at design time using the Properties window in Visual Studio. You can access the Properties window by right-clicking the control and selecting **Properties**.

> **Note**: The latest version of WinForms .NET Edition does not include rich design-time support yet. We will enhance it in the future releases.
