The **Report Wizard** is a handy tool for quickly setting up the report structure, data sources, and layout.

The **Report Wizard** appears when you invoke the **New** command in the [Standalone Report Designer App](/activereportsnet/docs/v20.1/report-authors/standalone-designer-app), add a new [ActiveReports Item](/activereportsnet/docs/v20.1/report-authors) to your VS.NET project, or create a new VS.NET project from one of the [ActiveReports project templates](/activereportsnet/docs/v20.1/report-authors/reporttypes).
