# System Requirements

This topic provides product requirements for installing and using ActiveReports 18 and covers these aspects - hardware requirements, development environments, run-time supported environments and .NET Core support limitations.

## Hardware Requirements

| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
| :-------- | :------ | :---------- |
| **Processor** | Modern x64 or ARM64 Processor | 4 Cores or higher |
| **RAM** | 4 GB | 8 GB or higher |
| **Disk Space** | 1 GB (available) | SSD with 4 GB+ (for caching/logs) |

## Development Environment

These are the requirements for the machine where you will be designing reports and compiling applications.

### Operating System

* Windows 11
* Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025

### Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

* Visual Studio 2022 / 2026 (or newer)

## Runtime Environment

These are the requirements for the server or machine where your application will **run**.

> **Note for Linux Users:** If you are using Section Reports or features dependent on `System.Drawing` on Linux, you may need to install `libgdiplus`, `libc6-dev`, or `libx11-dev` packages depending on your distribution.

## Client Requirements

These are the requirements for end-users viewing or designing reports using an ActiveReports Report Viewer for Web or Web Report Designer.
