StyleManager Class

Maintains the named, reusable style values (such as backdrops, borders and lines) that can be applied to chart elements, keyed by element type. Provides the lookup, save and remove operations used by the style editing UI. For internal use only.

Remarks

All members are static; the class is a process-wide registry and cannot be instantiated. Style names are matched against the localized sentinel values ItemDefault, ItemCustom and ItemNull to represent the default, an unsaved custom value, and an explicit null value.

The localized name that represents a custom, unnamed style that has not been saved (for example, "(Custom)").
ItemDefault

The localized name that represents the default style of an element (for example, "(Default)").
ItemNull

The localized name that represents an explicit null style value (for example, "(null)").

Methods

ContainsValue(string, object, out string)

Determines whether internal inverse hashes contain the specified object and returns its name if it does
ContainsValue(Type, string)

Determines whether a named style has been saved for the specified element type.
GetName(object, object)

Returns the saved style name that matches the specified value, used to show the current selection in the style UI.
GetNames(string)

Returns the sorted list of style names available for the specified element type, suitable for populating a style picker. The list always begins with ItemDefault.
GetValue(Type, string)

Resolves a saved style by name into a usable value for the specified element type.
RemoveValue(string, object)

Removes the first saved style whose value equals the specified object, for the given element type. Use this overload when the value is known but its name is not.
RemoveValue(Type, string)

Removes the named style saved for the specified element type, if present.
SaveValue(object, string)

Saves a style value under the specified name so it can later be retrieved with GetValue(Type, string). The value is keyed by the runtime type name of obj.
